An ideal evolution

A little visual I made to inspire me along my path to becoming the fu I want to be...
At present I'm just a disorganized little artist, occasionally doing some writing or painting, maybe posting to a blog here and there...
The next evolution I'd like to see is my website built, filled and published - what is on the tablet screen. And I'm wearing some dancey clothes because at this stage I'd like to be doing some plain air performances as well as street art.
The last fu is wearing full performance wear and holding up a dreamcatcher that is supposed to represent a larger body of work. I like this symbol since it has the web in the center (like, y'know, the web) and has little pieces of art on it. She's also the most realistically rendered artistically, since I want that to be the realistic version of myself I hold in my head.

To-Daily

This is a painting I was working on this morning until I was rudely interrupted - called in to work at the cafe

And last night, modeling at Sandy Hill for the first time was George. I took some liberties with one of them...

Psy-Paisley Brushes

So yesterday I decided to remove large areas of fill color on pictures of patterns from Mendelbrot sets with the Magic Wand in Photoshop with Contiguous de-selected.
Why in God's name would anyone do such repetitive and monotonous work? You're obviously not an animator if you asked yourself this.
To get pattern brushes for a Paisley pattern I'm attempting to create two ways - stylistically and realistically. So to get realistic 'brots' I made these:
Creativity is letting yourself make mistakes. Or possible mistakes when you just make marks on a page to see what happens. Over, and over, and over, and over, and over and over, and over again.
Art is knowing which ones to keep.

Yesterdaily - Mar.30th

Due to a lack of motivation (3day migraine) and space (I rearranged the 'office') I have failed miserably at doing daily Dailies. So here's a weekly. Hopefully I get better at this (If your best isn't cutting it - do the best of someone better).
So here's what I did yesterday. It's starting to look like it could be finished...

Dailies!

I'm going to try to start posting dailies here, so to kick it off, this is me tooling around drawing in Flash. Not very exciting, I know…

And I guess I should drop a few things I've created YTD, so…
Yesterday I made some custom brushes

For the Painting I'm currently working on

This is my partner's eye

This is a color-composition drawing for one of the films in my Pipeline
And another film's 'Troupe Lineup'

This is an experiment from January using a tablet to do a life drawing session digitally. It took some getting used to.

So that kind of encapsulates my year in pictures so far without going into all the nitty-gritty sketches. I will from this point on be posting the nitty-gritty's, however, so if that interests you - stay tuned!
